Made from selected Merlot and Cabernet-sauvignon grapes. After spending over 15 months maturing in barriques, the resulting wine is a very deep ruby red colour, with a complex and persistent aroma and a harmonious flavour.

Alcohol content: 14% Vol.

Grape varieties: Made from Merlot (50%) and Cabernet-sauvignon (50%) grapes.

Production technique: The grapes destined to this type of wine are meticulously chosen and harvested strictly by hand. Vinification takes place via slow, temperature-controlled fermentation and prolonged maceration of the must on skins. The wine obtained is stored for ageing in small French oak barrels (barriques) for about 15 months, spending a further maturing period of at least 6 months in the bottle before being released for sale.

Organoleptic characteristics:
- COLOUR: very deep ruby re;
- BOUQUET: persistent, delicate and complex aroma: primary aromas of grapes and scents of toasted wood released by the barriques;
- FLAVOUR: harmonious, dry, sapid flavour, conveying an excellent balance with olfactory persistence featuring a very long aftertaste.

Accompaniments: It is particularly suited to serving with important dishes, such as red meat (the Florentine T-bone steak for instance) and roast game. It is also ideal with important, strongly flavoured and mature cheeses. It can also be classified among the wines "for thought".

Indications: Open the wine a few hours before drinking and pour at a temperature of at least 18C, from a decanter if possible.
